Karma Is Us And It Is Love

May 5th, 2020

Karma isn’t out for retribution. Many of us have come to understand the word ‘karma’ as an all knowing tally of our good behaviours and misdemeanours. We feel a sticky tug of pride when we assert that we have no need to hold onto anger, karma will deal with our aggressors.

This piece isn’t an explanation of the origins of the word, I’m not going to explain karma from the point of view of any religions or philosophies. I’m just going to tell you what I’ve come to understand by karma, why it’s very relevant but why it’s neither friend nor foe, and all I am hoping for is to open up a spark of inquisitiveness within you…

Karma is your mind. Karma is your energetic body. Karma is your energy field. Karma is not without you, it is within.

There is no divine moral code and karma is not its judge. What there is, is your own understanding of a universal moral code, innately even if you’re denying it, and an energetic memory of when you feel you acted well and when you feel you acted poorly. That universal moral code is love, and the only question is was the root love or something else, usually fear. These memories stick within your field and attract more of the same. It may look like the universe is dealing you your just desserts, but in fact you are attracting how you see yourself energetically. You are reiterating what you believe to be true about yourself and about your world.

Our thoughts and feelings are incredibly powerful tools for attraction; if you feel that your karma is out to get you, take a look at how you see yourself and your actions, are you proud of yourself, do you feel that you’ve done wrongs, do you feel worthless and undeserving?

In all of my self introspection, in all of my studying, all of my reading and meditating and reiki treatments, I come back to the same core truth again and again; you must love yourself first.

Sit with all of your shadows and find a way to love them, to truly love and accept them, change for the better where you can do better, decide to leave behaviours that hurt you and others behind, go within and learn from what you find, then draw a line and let your energy field fill with positivity and grace, transmute your karma into light. It is yours. It can be love. I believe self introspection, a search for knowledge and a dedication to your healing is key to welcoming a life of alignment and ease. We are not here to struggle, there is no kudos in it, release that belief if it is there and with an open heart go within. Seek guides where you need them, love everything.
